How to take the right photo for the green card lottery application: special tools and services
4 October registration for the green card lottery has begun. The photo in the questionnaire plays an important role. But it's not the only tool you can use to correct your shots.
There are many requirements for the photo in the application form, but the most important thing is that it cannot be photoshopped, that is, these requirements cannot be met in Photoshop. Therefore, you need to use other tools.
What should be the photos in the application for the green card
As of November 1, 2016, glasses can no longer be used on these photos.

Make sure the photo shows the entire head, from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin. Position your face in the center of the photo.
- The person in the photo must have a neutral facial expression and face the camera.
- The image must be square: no less than 600 x 600 pixels and no more than 1200 x 1200 pixels.
- Head height should be between 50% and 69% of the total frame height;
- The eyes should be positioned at a height (measured from the bottom of the image to eye level) between 56% and 69% of the height of the image.
