On Sunday, January 10, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Golden Globe Awards ceremony, which is considered the second most important after the Oscars, took place in Hollywood.

The main prize went to the film “Legend” by Hugh Glass (“The Revenant”) in the category “Best Dramatic Film.” The leading actor, Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who played the pioneer Hugh Glass, received the award for Best Actor. The film also received a statuette in the Best Director category.

The sci-fi drama film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Matt Damon, “The Martian,” was named best comedy. The winner in the category “Best Actress in a Drama Role” was actress Brie Larson for her role in the film “Room.” In addition, the Golden Globe went to American singer Lady Gaga, who won in the category “Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie” for her role in the horror series “American Horror Story.”

In addition to awarding prizes, the traditional celebrity defile on the red carpet was held during the 73-th solemn ceremony, which was held at the Beverly Hilton hotel. Hollywood stars shone in public in gorgeous costumes from the world's best designers.

There were also some traditional jokes at the ceremony. Thus, American actor Jamie Foxx parodied comedian Steve Harvey, who in December 2015 in the final of the Miss Universe 2015 beauty contest mistakenly announced winner is the wrong participant.
