The United States Tax Service may have questions for the wife of the Speaker of Russian President Dmitry Peskov, Tatyana Navka. The Guardian and the Russian Dossier Center of Mikhail Khodorkovsky found out that there are suspicions that Navka understated her income, owed property taxes and hid accounts in foreign banks, writes ZN.UA.

Court documents showed that Navka separately saved up tens of thousands of dollars in the form of unpaid property taxes on the house, which, according to Navka, has already been sold to the US authorities. Navka lived and studied in the USA for more than ten years. In the 2015 year, returning to Russia, she married Peskov, the press secretary of Putin and the deputy head of the Kremlin.

After moving to Russia, she was still obliged to file annual US tax returns and declare her income worldwide. This includes income from Russian sources.

Also in February, 2014, she set up an offshore company in the British Virgin Islands. Carina Global Assets was found at Panama Papers. At that time, Navka denied having any offshore companies or accounts.

The incomes that Navka declared in the USA for 2015 a year do not correspond to those that she declared in Russia. Being a high-ranking government official, Peskov was obliged to publicly report his wife’s income, as well as his own. According to the official website, Navka earned 1,8 a million dollars for the entire 2015 year. Sands earned 577 thousand dollars. According to official information provided in Russia, its revenues increased to 2,2 million dollars in 2016 year and 4,25 million dollars in 2017 year.

It is noted that in the US, Navka enjoyed tax breaks to which she was not entitled. Since 1990, Navka and her then-husband, Alexander Zhulin, have acquired several properties in the United States. According to reports, spouses from 2006 to 2013 of the year paid only $ 1168 of federal taxes on wages, income, rental income and property sales of $ 3,4 million.

In 2009, Navka divorced Zhulin, but they filed a joint tax return for several years. It is illegal - spouses have tax benefits.

The study showed that Navka and Zhulin did not pay a mortgage of $ 1,3 million, which was issued on the security of a house in the state of New Jersey. At the beginning of the current year, the property was transferred to the bank after a claim for recovery of unpaid credit and property taxes in the amount of over $ 128 thousand, as well as $ 100 thousand in the form of insurance premiums, and another $ 20 thousand for utilities and other expenses.

Last week, the Dossier Center confirmed that Navka has an account in Switzerland.
