Columbus' famous ships entered the waters of New York

Two ships - replicas of the ships on which Christopher Columbus sailed - entered the mouth of the Hudson River in New York. Over the course of two months, everyone will be able to view the historical ships.
On Thursday, copies of the Nina and Pinta ships moored in Newburgh. Here they will be open to the public from Friday to Tuesday. They will then be transferred to Albany Yacht Club (July 14-16) and Oswigo (July 21-23).
The manually assembled Nina (length on the waterline 19 meters) is a copy of the Spanish caravel, one of the three ships on which Christopher Columbus set out on his first oceanic expedition and discovered America in 1492. The real name "Nina" - "Santa Clara."
The 25-meter Pinta also participated in the historic expedition. 12 October 1492 of the Pinta Sailor Rodrigo de Triana was the first to see the New World. The third vessel that participated in the expedition was the Santa Maria cruise.
