21 May at 8 o'clock in the morning in Denver (Colorado) fell 3,4 inches (8,6 cm) of snow. This is the largest amount of snow that fell in the region since 29 in May of 1975, when 5,6 inches (14,2 cm) of winter precipitation fell in the city.
In addition to the snow, Denver also recorded a record low temperature for May 21 of 31 degrees Fahrenheit (-0,5 degrees Celsius). Earlier in the day, the city had already recorded a temperature drop of 31 degrees Fahrenheit, this was in 2001, when 1 inch (2,5 cm) of snow fell in Denver, writes CBS.

Temperatures in the city have remained 30 to 35 degrees Fahrenheit below normal for a third week. The record “cold day temperature high” (the maximum, not minimum air temperature on record cold days) for May 21 is 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4 degrees Celsius), set 128 years ago in 1891.
