Grandmother stuck in a toilet for four days knitted a scarf for her grandson
British pensioner Gladys Phillips did not even anticipate what kind of adventure her usual trip to the city of Felixstowe (Suffolk County) would turn for her.
An 82-year-old woman somehow snuck into a public toilet stall, which she hadn’t opened yet, and was stuck there for four days because of a malfunction in the door, writes Daily Express.
All this time, the woman was eating mint candies, basking with a hand dryer, and sleeping on her own coat.
Phillips lives alone and does not use a mobile phone, so her daughter did not even suspect the loss of her mother.
“I knocked on the walls and doors, screamed, but no one heard me. It's good that I just went shopping and bought a new ball of pink wool. During this time, I knitted a scarf as a gift for Christmas to one of my grandchildren, ”said a resilient retiree.
The Englishwoman was found by a worker returning to the booth to complete her painting. According to Phillips, he was shocked by what he saw outside the door.
