Election of the President of Ukraine: results, exit polls, turnout. Constantly updated

On March 31, presidential elections are held in Ukraine. This year, a record number of candidates are running for the post of head of state - 39. Due to such a large number of candidates, the ballot turned out to be a record size - 80 centimeters.

Favorites of the election race are showman Vladimir Zelensky, the current president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, the leader of the Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the Opposition Platform - For Life, Yuriy Boyko, the head of the Civic position party, Anatoly Gritsenko.

Security on election day will be provided by 135,4 thou. More than two thousand observers will follow the election process.

Polling stations will be open from 8: 00 to 20: 00 (Kyiv time). CEC votes counting starts after 20: 00. At the same time, the first exit poll results will appear, and this will be information as of 18: 00. Then, sociologists publish the data in 23: 00, and these will be the figures as of the time of the closure of the plots.

The national exit poll-2019 during the first round of presidential elections will be held by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, the KIIS and the Razumkov Center.

The official results of the first round must be announced no later than April 10.

To win in the first round, a candidate must get more than 50% of votes. If this does not happen, the second round of presidential elections will be held on April 21.

Petro Poroshenko (15,92%) remains in second place, followed by Yulia Tymoshenko (13,40%). Yuriy Boyko is currently gaining 11,63% votes, Anatoly Gritsenko - 6,93%.

After processing 77% of the ballots, showman Vladimir Zelensky is in first place, and current leader Petro Poroshenko is in second place. Yulia Tymoshenko, who took third place, expectedly does not recognize such results.

23: 00 (16: 00 time New York) According to nationwide exit poll as of 20: 00, presidential candidates Vladimir Zelensky and Petro Poroshenko are entering the second round of elections.

Zelensky scored 30,6%, Poroshenko - 17,8%. Third place - Yulia Tymoshenko (14,2%). Fourth - Yuriy Boyko (9,7%). Fifth - Anatoly Gritsenko (7,1%).

The Central Election Commission confirms the data of sociologists. Although less than 5% of the votes have been processed, the voting picture looks like this: Zelensky - 28,79%, Poroshenko - 17,16%, Tymoshenko - 14,79%.

21: 00 (14: 00 time New York) The Central Election Commission calculated the turnout, which was as of 20: 00. The turnout in all 199 constituencies was 63,49%.

20: 05 (13: 05 time New York) The national exit poll announced the first results of the polls of 2019 who voted at the presidential elections in Ukraine. Data collected as of 18: 00. So, according to the announced results, 30,4% voted for Vladimir Zelensky, 17,8% - for Petro Poroshenko, 14,2% for Yulia Tymoshenko, 9,8% for Yuriy Boyko, 7,1% for Yury Boyko.

The results of the exit poll were also published by TSN television channel. The channel's results do not differ much from the information from the National Exit Poll. According to the sociological company SOCIS, Zelenskyy scored 29,25% of votes, Poroshenko - 19,19%, Timoshenko - 13,75%, Boyko - 9,24%, Gritsenko - 7,91%.

18: 00 (11: 00 time New York) People’s Deputy Mustafa Nayem claims that Tymoshenko and Zelensky are negotiating to unite efforts in the second round of presidential elections.

In its Telegram channel he says that Tymoshenko is ready to support Zelensky in exchange for signing a memorandum on the creation of a parliamentary coalition. Its main task is to introduce elections to the Verkhovna Rada in two rounds in Ukraine.

“Such elections will be held on a proportional basis. The party that wins receives 51% of the seats in parliament and forms the majority and, accordingly, the composition of the Cabinet of Ministers,” he writes.

According to Nayem, if they agree, it will mean that Zelensky will announce his prime minister, Yulia Tymoshenko.

“We don’t know at what stage the negotiations are and whether the leader of the presidential race will agree to such support, but it is already obvious that such an alliance (1) will become a big problem for Petro Poroshenko and (2) will greatly undermine the image of a “non-system candidate” and “ conductor of new forces" Vladimir Zelensky," notes Nayem.

As of 17: 00 (10: 00 being New York) the Interior Ministry reported that they recorded 1360 statements and reports of election irregularities. Most violations were recorded in the Dnipropetrovsk region - 196, Kiev - 186, Odessa region - 147 and Kharkiv region - 129. Violations are related to illegal campaigning (102 cases), photographing ballots (86), voter buys (29), damage to ballots (22), and false mining reports (15).

As of 15: 00 (8: 00 being New York) turnout was 45,08%. 198 data for 199 electoral districts has been released to date.

14: 00 (7: 00 being New York). Chief editor of the publication "Strana.UA" Igor Guzhva on Facebook published the first exit poll results for presidential elections in Ukraine. Since it is forbidden to do this, the journalist described the research data in an Aesopian language, calling them "a marketing research of the preferences of Ukrainians regarding alcoholic beverages on the last day of March 2019 of the year."

Thus, according to his information, 27-29% of voters cast their votes for the leader of the Servant of the People party Vladimir Zelensky, for Petro Poroshenko - 16-17%, the leader of the Opposition Platform - For Life Yuriy Boyko - 14-15,5% . Another 14–14,5% of Ukrainians voted for Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko. 6–6,5% of voters cast their votes for Anatoly Gritsenko, and the same number for the former head of the SBU Igor Smeshko. Leader of the “Radical Party” Oleg Lyashko and oppositionist Alexander Vilkul each received 4–4,5% of the votes.

Before the vote, he was asked what he expects from the elections, Poroshenko responded "the victory of Ukraine and mine." Subsequently, when asked for whom he voted for, Poroshenko answered that he voted for Ukraine, like his entire family.

At 11 in the morning hours (4: 00 time New York) Presidential candidate Vladimir Zelensky came to the polling station to cast his vote. He stated that he had voted "for a very worthy person."

10:40 At one of the polling stations located in the maternity hospital in Podol, woman gave birth to a girl. This was reported by journalist Rena Nazarova on his page on Facebook. The woman had time to vote.
