The exceptions are cases when the action with a mobile phone fits into one swipe or one click, and then provided that the device is mounted on the dashboard. That is, you can still cancel the incoming call or click the shortcut to launch the voice assistant.

However, the question then arises how a police officer, stopping the offender, will prove that he used the mobile phone in the forbidden mode.

The bill (Assembly Bill 1785) comes into force on January 1 2017. For the first violation a penalty of $ 20 will be issued, and for each subsequent violation $ 50 will have to be posted.
