Two people were killed while shooting in a mall in North Dakota

The shooting that erupted on Tuesday night at a Walmart department store in Grand Forks, North Dakota killed at least two people, and several others suffered varying degrees of injury and were hospitalized.

Police arrived at the scene at about 01:00 local time, CBS-owned KXJB reported on May 26.

To date, the details of this incident have not been made public, the names of the victims have not been published.

It is noted that at the time of the shooting in the mall, one of the two city branches of Walmart, there were quite a lot of people.

During the preliminary investigation, it turned out that one of the defendants in this case is a pilot who lived at a US Air Force base 30 km from the scene, whose role is not yet known.

The leadership of the military base published a statement on the social network Facebook, in which it confirms the participation of its employee in this shootout. It also states that the Air Force's Special Investigations Department is cooperating with law enforcement agencies, and the results of the investigation will be published at a later date.
