In Tolyatti, at a spontaneous rally, they demanded to withdraw troops from Ukraine

On Monday morning, a protest was held in Tolyatti against Russian participation in hostilities in eastern Ukraine. About ten people gathered near the checkpoint of the former Togliatti military school, and now the military base of the 3 Brigade of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) on Voroshilov Street. Protesters shouted anti-war slogans and tried to unfurl the posters.

The action lasted about 20 minutes. The protesters demanded the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine. Police outfits that arrived shortly after the start of the performance dispersed the protesters, but according to available information, no one was detained.

Ранее Ukrainian media have distributed a video on which, according to Kiev, shows the interrogation of one of the prisoners in a hospital bed. Calling himself Alexander Alexandrov, the prisoner claims that he serves under the contract in the 3 th brigade of the GRU special forces in Togliatti, and calls the name of his commander.

Representatives of the Tolyatti military registration and enlistment office and the Ministry of Defense refrained from making official comments. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov on Monday repeated the official position of the Russian side: “There are no Russian military in Donbass.”
