In the USA, more than 13 tons of minced meat are recalled due to foreign objects in it.

The beef company recalled about 30 000 pounds (13,6 tons) of meat that they managed to sell throughout the country. There are concerns that products are contaminated with "foreign material".

Washington Beef LLC posted a return on Saturday, 2 in March, stating that the recall concerns minced meat with an 27 production date of December 2018 of the year and a freeze or use date of 20 in January of 2019.

According to a report published on the US Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) website, the recall affects approximately 30 260 pounds of ground beef and followed after a consumer complained about extraneous inclusions in February's 28 2019 product.

The company has stated that there are no adverse reactions due to the use of products, but if they occur, it strongly recommends seeking medical attention.

“FSIS is concerned that some products may still be stored in consumers' freezers,” the press release said. — Anyone who has purchased these products is strongly advised not to consume them. They must either be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.”
