270 thousands of criminal cases lost in Russia

In Russia, almost three hundred thousand criminal cases on crimes of past years have been lost. This was announced by the First Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia Alexander Buksman, speaking at the board of the supervisory authority on the results of work in the first half of 2015 of the year.

“Recently, at the instigation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia, the scale of the loss of criminal cases about unsolved crimes of past years has been revealed. 98 thousand such facts have been established, of which every fifth are cases of grave and especially grave crimes, including a thousand murders. In the Saratov region, three quarters of lost cases are classified as serious. Currently, the location of 270 thousand criminal cases throughout the country has not been established,” Buksman noted.
