In Ohio, a bus driver saved a suicide with an offer to embrace. VIDEO
The bus driver in the US state of Ohio made a stop, which he will remember for a long time: he dissuaded a woman from jumping from a bridge.
Bus driver Damon Hudson, passing the Main Street Bridge, noticed a woman standing on the other side of the fence.
The video camera captured the moment when the driver arrived, opened the door and asked the woman to return to the sidewalk.
“Why don’t we go back to the sidewalk? ...Hey miss, why don't we get back on the sidewalk?" Damon said before getting off the bus. The camera was unable to record everything the driver said to the woman afterward.
He explained to Fox 45 that he was trying to console the woman: “Madam, it looks like you were having a bad day. Can I hug you? What would make you go back to the sidewalk?”
These words affected the woman, and she changed her mind. Damon stayed with her until the Dayton police arrived.
After the arrival of the police, the hero driver continued to work on the route.
