Wi-Fi will appear in Moscow public transport

At 450 public transport stops in Moscow, free Wi-Fi will appear by July 1.

The pilot project on the equipment of stops with free wireless Internet access started in May last year. Earlier it became known that the Moscow authorities are also planning to hold a competition for the organization of Wi-Fi in buses, trolley buses and trams. All of them must be equipped with free internet access until the end of 2015.

According to the plans of the city authorities, in 2018, for the World Cup, the Wi-Fi network will cover the city completely. It is assumed that during the football championship the demand for wireless Internet will reach a peak. The citywide network will also be integrated into the emergency alert system.
