In New York, begins the largest exhibition of works by Michelangelo in history
Next week, 13 November in New York will host the largest ever exhibition of works by Michelangelo.
Exhibition at Metropolitan Museum of Art titled "Michelangelo: Divine Draftsman and Designer" has combined 150 drawings, 3 marble sculptures and other works of the artist from museums and collections throughout America and Europe. The event will also feature 3 works by Michelangelo, which are in the Metropolitan Museum collection, 2 rarely shown drawings and 1 sculpture.
Among the main exhibits of the exhibition is an early painting by the artist “Flouries of St. Anthony”, created by Michelangelo when he was just 12 or 13 years old. In addition, a series of drawings will be exhibited, which the artist created for his friend Tommaso de Cavalieri.
Visiting the exhibition is included in the museum ticket price ($ 12-25).
