A “serial bride” has appeared in New York

A resident of Manhattan (New York) was charged that she married ten men and never divorced. With all the marriages she settled into the 11-year period.

39 summer Liana Barrientos (Liana Barrientos), a native of the Dominican Republic, is accused of submitting a false application for a marriage certificate and possession of such false certificates. For each of the charges, she faces up to four years in prison.

Regarding Barrientos, the test was started after she married again in March 2010. Although the woman claimed that this last spouse was her first and only spouse, the police found nine more marriage certificates issued in her name. In this case, six of them were issued for six months 2002 year, and she registered the first marriage in 1999 year.

The police do not yet know why the woman needed so many husbands.
