In New York, immigration agents arrested the wrong man for whom they came
Immigration agents arrested New York State resident Carlos Pinos in front of his family, but his relatives claim that the immigration and customs control officers (ICE) detained the wrong man they were looking for.

Marcia Pinos, the wife of the detainee, said that her husband had been illegally living in the USA for 20 years, but she is confident that ICE agents who came to their house in Ossining (New York) were not looking for her husband, but another person. NBC.
“They asked for a gentleman named Louis and I told them he didn’t live here. Then the agent asked the question: “Who do you live with?”, and I answered: “I live with my husband. His name is Carlos,” the woman said.
According to Marcia, after that the officers entered the house and arrested Carlos, without giving any explanations. The woman also claims that the officers applied force to her, leaving her with a wrist injury and scratches on her shoulder.
An ICE spokesman denies Marcia’s words, arguing that the agents went to the couple’s home to arrest Carlos, who, they said, had previously been convicted of driving while intoxicated.
“ICE arrested an Ecuadorian citizen who was in the United States illegally in a targeted raid that targeted this specific individual. He will remain in custody pending trial,” the department said.
About 100, residents of the city turned to the Ossining Administration, speaking in support of Carlos and Marcia, and demanding the release of the man.
“We are not criminals. We are people,” Marcia said at a rally of her supporters.
