The Prosecutor’s Office of Monmouth County, New Jersey, is looking for a man who left a dog in a locked cage near the ocean before the tide. This writes RTVi with reference to the department.
An investigation is being conducted with the local animal protection association (SPCA). The prosecutor's office asks anyone who may know the owner of the dog to call the police or the SPCA hotline.
The cage with the gray-white pit bull was left on the ocean, which borders the park. In the morning of July 30, a local resident walked his dog in this park, which attracted the attention of the owner to a locked pit bull, to the cage of which water had already risen.
The man climbed over the fence and got the dog out of the cage. When the animal control service arrived at the scene, the cage almost completely sank due to the tide. Pitbull was taken to the Highlands city police station.
The prosecutor's office added that the dog was left on the beach between four and six in the morning.
