Field consular sessions for Russian citizens will be held in Nevada and Utah: how to make an appointment

From January 29 to 31 in Las Vegas (Nevada) and February 2 in Salt Lake City (Utah), a consular visiting session will be held on the issues of issuing foreign passports, as well as acts of personal appearance to continue paying pensions to Russian citizens. Russians living in other states can also make an appointment. This is mentioned on website of the Russian Embassy in the USA.

Please note that the consular section of the Russian Embassy in the United States will only provide field service for the following matters:

• acceptance of documents for registration of foreign passports;
• registration of acts of personal appearance for the continuation of pension payments.

No other consular activities will be carried out at the visiting session. Information about the time and place of the reception will be sent out 2-3 days before the date of the reception.

How to make an appointment

To make an appointment in Las Vegas, you need to send an e-mail [email protected] application completed online zp.midpass.ru (in PDF or JPG format. File size no more than 2Mb).

Copies of a valid or expired foreign passport and a valid internal passport must be attached to it, and if a passport is issued to a child, then a copy of the birth certificate.

To register for an appointment at Salt Lake City (UT) you need to send same statement by e-mail [email protected] and attach the same documents.

For registration Act of personal appearance, you need to sign up for an electronic queue on the site https://q.midpass.ru/

When registering, select the country of the USA, and the institution: Washington - Consular Section of the Embassy.

If you want to receive an act of personal appearance, then you do not need to send anything by e-mail.

What to take with you

If you are applying for a passport, then make sure that you have prepared all the necessary documents with you:

• application form for issuing a passport and a two-dimensional barcode (you can find the application at link when filling out the questionnaire in the mobile application, the QR code must be provided in printed form, on paper);
• originals of a valid or expired foreign passport and a valid internal passport (if any);
• original birth certificate (if a passport is issued to a child);
• quality copies of the documents mentioned above;
• an application for sending a finished passport by mail (without an envelope);
• money order for an amount equal to the cost of the consular service;
• prepaid envelope (stamped) size 10 (L), 6 (H) with tracking number.

Personal appearance, even when applying for a passport for a child, is required.

How to place a money order

A payment order (money order) issued only to RUSSIAN EMBASSY is accepted for payment:

• in the amount of $80 when applying for a passport valid for 10 years by citizens who have reached the age of 14;
• in the amount of $40 when applying for a passport valid for 10 years by citizens under 14 years of age.

Money order must be correctly filled out on the front side of the Russian Embassy; address: 2650 Wisconsin ave. NW, Washington DC. The money order is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

On the back of the money order, write your full name in Russian in pencil.

Sending completed passports

Citizens whose applications for issuing a passport will be accepted can simultaneously submit an application for sending a finished passport by mail to the address indicated by them.

The application for forwarding the completed passport must be completed in English. It will be printed by an employee as part of the reception.

Registration of acts of personal appearance

To issue an Act of personal appearance at the consular reception, you must provide:

• application completed and signed;
• valid Russian foreign passport.

If the Statement of Personal Appearance is issued by the consular department for the first time, then you must provide documents confirming permanent residence in the United States: a US citizen's passport, or a residence permit (green card), or a certificate of naturalization, as well as documents confirming the address of residence in the territory United States (driver's license or any other ID with address, utility bill).

The act of personal appearance is issued free of charge.
