In Colorado, the Republican Party was compared with the Communists in the USSR

In the city of Grand Jakshen, Colorado, a billboard appeared with the name of the US Republican Party, which is compared with the Soviet Union. He was leased by an American activist and writer Anne Landman, writes TJournal.

On a red background is the abbreviation of the Republican nickname - GOP or the Grand Old Party ("The Great Old Party"). The second letter is replaced by the symbol of the USSR with a sickle and a hammer.

Landman said she paid 265 dollars from her own money to rent a billboard for a week. According to the activist, she received 1696 dollars in donations and plans to buy advertising on billboards in two other places.

According to Landman, the Republican Party has become a “Donald Trump party” that “flirts with authoritarian dictators who ignore human rights.” The activist noted that the indignation of the US president only increased after his meeting with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki: "He openly contradicted his own intelligence and justified himself the next day." In her opinion, members of the Republican Party, from which Trump was elected, are not able to resist him and therefore "make many people think that they are accomplices in Putin’s attempts to undermine American democracy."
