Black American police kills protests in California

A black man died after being injured by police in the city of El Cajon, California.

The incident occurred 27 September afternoon near one of the city’s shopping centers, reports CNN.

Police arrived at the call. The caller said that a man was spotted near the shopping center, “who behaved inadequately.”

Militiamen demanded that the man raise his hands, but, according to them, he did not obey and kept his hands in his pockets.

According to the police, “the man abruptly pulled his hands out of his pockets, holding some object in them, and became in a position for shooting”. After that, law enforcement officers opened fire. The victim was taken to hospital with a wound, where he died from his injuries.

The police are investigating the incident, they have not yet reported what the victim was “object”, but said they did not find firearms at the scene.

A woman who was nearby during the murder stated that she was the sister of the deceased, and that it was she who called the police to reassure her brother, who was suffering from a mental disorder. The police said that they had not yet managed to confirm the relatives of the deceased with the woman.

Police officers who have fired are still suspended from work, they both have more than 20 years of experience in the police.

Investigators said that one of the witnesses shot what was happening on the phone and had already provided them with a video, but they would not publish it until the end of the investigation.

Another murder of a black man by police sparked protests among the city's population. About 200 people took to the streets of El Cajon to express their dissatisfaction with what happened immediately after the incident. After the police press conference, the crowd began to dwindle—several dozen people remained on the street.

They hold a quiet protest at the scene of the murder.
