Alabama will begin to neutered pedophiles chemically
Alabama Governor Key Ivey signed a law on chemical castration of pedophiles.
The law also requires convicts to continue treatment until the court finds that it is no longer required. Convicted persons must pay for their treatment, but they cannot be denied parole only on the basis of their inability to pay.
If the convict decides to stop treatment himself, he will violate the rules of parole and will be forced to return to custody.

At the end of May, the bill was put forward by the representative of the Republican Party, Steve Hurst, and both chambers of the Alabama Legislative Assembly approved it.
The channel notes that expert opinions on chemical castration vary, including many who believe that the bill violates human rights. "I worry about any precedent that allows the state to use health care as a form of punishment," said Caitlin Donovan, a spokesperson for the National Patient Advocacy Fund (NPAF).
Chemical castration makes it possible to reduce sexual desire and sexual activity with the help of medicines (pills or by injection).
