Ukrainian woman leaves prestigious work in the USA for the sake of reforms in Odessa
President of the public association of Ukrainians in the USA “Razom for Ukraine” Lyuba Shipovich is moving from New York to Odessa to join the team of the head of the Odessa region, Mikheil Saakashvili.
To fully devote her time to reforms in Ukraine, Lyuba Shipovich left the position of chief engineer of the American company CallFire.
“We not only tell you how to do it. We go and do it. Our president, our Lyuba is now officially on the team of reformers in Ukraine,” they note on the “Razom for Ukraine” page in Facebook. – In mid-August, Lyuba moves from New York to Odessa to join Mikheil Saakashvili’s team as technical director. We believe in the success of reforms and transformation of the Odessa region into a new “Silicon Valley.”
“Since the position is completely volunteer, without pay, I set aside a year for myself. “And then we’ll see,” said Lyuba.
“Lyuba Shipovich is the co-founder and president of one of the most popular and fastest growing Ukrainian organizations in the United States, “Razom for Ukraine”; coordinator of the unique project “OKO”, which is engaged in semi-automatic monitoring of references to Ukraine in foreign media, co-founder of the Global Ukrainians network, and an active public figure,” the famous lawyer and economist Sasha Borovik, now working as an adviser to Saakashvili, wrote about her.
He also noted that Lyuba Shipovich graduated from Kiev-Mohyla Academy in 2007, receiving a Master of Computer Science diploma. Since 2008 lives in New York (USA), has gone from a software engineer to a technical director in American companies, in 2011, she opened the office of the American company EzTexting in Kiev.
The association “Razom for Ukraine” topped the ranking of the most popular Ukrainian organizations in the United States.
