Ukraine stops buying Russian gas
Ukraine, with 1 April, intends to suspend the purchase of Russian gas, since this is not necessary.
This was said during a briefing by the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn.
“Now there is no need to buy Russian gas. I think that we will not buy it,” the minister said.
The price of gas that Ukraine imports from Europe is 270 dollars per thousand cubic meters and is more profitable for our country compared to the price of Russian gas, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine said during a briefing in Kiev.
“Ukraine currently purchases gas from the EU at $270 per thousand cubic meters. It’s profitable for us to buy from Europeans,” Demchishin said.
