Trump warned Ukraine: should deal well with US companies

This meeting was broadcast live on Ukrainian television. There were no current members of Congress, and his goal was to influence the leadership of the Central Bank of Ukraine.

Dmitry Shimkov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, said: “The event on Capitol Hill was not a congressional hearing. The discussion was conducted without public control and was sponsored by a secret source. The fact that some oligarchs have decided to export weapons of this type to Washington is shocking, to say the least. ”

In late September, the Ukrainian TV channel Inter, owned by Sergei Lyovochkin and oligarch Dmitry Firtash, who is wanted by the FBI and awaiting extradition to the United States from Austria, launched a coordinated fake news and intimidation campaign against American citizens, specifically targeting the Segal brothers, Vadim and Ilya. emigrated from the Soviet Union in 1989 and have strong business interests in Ukraine. The Segal brothers claim that this is just another episode in a long series of illegal actions against them organized by Firtash.

Ten years ago, they invested more than 50 million dollars in the country's advanced soybean processing plant. After that, they were threatened, intimidated, and fabricated a number of criminal cases brought against them by Dmitry Firtash and his allies. As a result, the object was captured by armed people in 2010, with the support of allegedly corrupt officials of the government of Yanukovych, including Levochkin and Fursin. In the end, Vadim Segal managed to regain the title of ownership, although this did not correspond to their corrupt opponents, who continued to fight the legal owners of the property by re-opening the compromised criminal case. If the court finds Firtash and his gang guilty, the US authorities should consider sanctions.
