Tesla has introduced a new electric car for the whole family.

The automaker Tesla has introduced a new electric car Model X, which is positioned as a machine for the whole family. The cost of a seven-seater car starts from 130 thousand dollars; deliveries are expected to begin in eight to twelve months.

Tesla Model X can travel on a single charge about four hundred kilometers. One of the key features of the car are the rear doors, which consist of several segments and open upwards. At the same time, special sensors evaluate the space between the Model X and other cars in the parking lot and regulate the process of raising the doors so as not to hurt the neighboring cars.

Technically, the Model X is almost identical to the Tesla Model S sedan. The maximum vehicle speed is 250 kilometers per hour, up to one hundred kilometers it accelerates in 3.2 – 3.8 seconds, depending on the engine modification. In the Model X with a more powerful engine P90D there is a mode called Tesla engineers “absurd” (ludicrous mode), which increases the speed characteristics of the car.

Until recently, there were only two cars in the Tesla lineup - the Roadster sports car and the Model S sedan.
