T-Mobile and Sprint officially announced the merger

Representatives of T-Mobile and Sprint have officially announced the merger of these two organizations, the cost of the combined company is estimated to be 146 billions of dollars.

Chief executive officer T-Mobile John Leger announced a merger in his microblog Twitterby attaching also a link to brokerwhich outlines the details of the transaction.

Company Deutsche Telekom, owning two thirds T-Mobile, will manage the newly established company.

Legere will be the CEO of the combined company, which will keep the name T-Mobile.

This deal brings together the third and fourth largest US wireless carriers; it is the result of 4 years of negotiations and trades.

With 127 million customers for two, the combined companies can now compete with the likes of Verizon and AT&T.

The agreement provides that Deutsche Telekom will own the 42% of the combined company, and Softbankcontrolling 85% Sprint, will own 27% of the newly established company. The remaining 31% shares will be publicly traded.

Market value Sprint currently is about 26 billion dollars, T-Mobile — $55 billion, the total debt of the companies is about $60 billion.
