US interested in investigating the crash of Boeing over Donetsk
The United States continues to support the carrying out of the Netherlands of the investigation of the collapse of the passenger Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 company, which crashed on July 17 near Donetsk.
This was announced on Monday by US President Barack Obama at a meeting with the King of the Netherlands Willem-Alexander.
“I am once again on record as committed to supporting the Dutch investigation into the (Boeing) Malaysia Airlines tragedy to ensure that not only does the truth come to light, but that (those responsible) are held accountable,” Obama said.
According to him, they with the king "got the opportunity to talk about working together in NATO." They also discussed the situation in Ukraine and the importance of the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
On July 17, 2014, in the skies over the Donetsk region, according to one version, Russian-backed terrorists shot down a Malaysia Airlines Boeing flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. The plane was shot down by a Buk anti-aircraft missile system. All 298 people on board were killed. The vast majority of them - 194 passengers - were Dutch citizens. On July 24, Ukraine delegated the investigation of the plane crash to the Netherlands.
