US and Cuba began historical negotiations in Havana
In Havana, the first high-level diplomatic negotiations between the United States and Cuba began in 35 years.
The meeting of diplomats became possible after Presidents Barack Obama and Raul Castro announced detente in relations between the two countries in December. The US delegation is led by Assistant Secretary of State Robert Jacobson.
