“Despite the fact that today at the [court] hearing the full American request for the extradition of Bogdanov, recently delivered to Thailand, was read out, he decided to agree to a voluntary accelerated extradition to the United States, abandoning an attempt to challenge the American request in a Thai court,” Pronin informed . According to him, three new ones have been added to the previous three charges related to crimes in the field of information technology.

The US indictment states that Anton Bogdanov “hacked US income tax refund systems, changed routes and bank information on tax returns so that refunds were made to the fraudster’s account.” The Russian was charged with fraud, hacking and theft of state property. The damage from the attacker's actions was estimated at $1 million.

Bogdanov himself previously denied guilt and claimed that he did not even know how to program. According to Anton, in Moscow he made his living by car transportation - the man owned a small taxi company with a fleet of four cars for more than five years. This business brought Bogdanov about 100 thousand rubles a month.

Anton's parents Peter and Galina told RT that the statements about a million dollars allegedly stolen by their son are simply absurd.

“For our family, this is generally very funny, because we live below average. How many millions did he move there? This is nonsense!” Bogdanov’s mother emphasized.

Anton Bogdanov was detained at Phuket Airport 28 on November 2018 of the year. That day he had to leave Thailand, where, together with his cohabitant, he spent 12 days on a tour package. When the Russian citizen was detained, an employee of the FBI was present.

The Russian embassy in Thailand claimed to hold the situation with Bogdanov under special control.
