Russians offered to get American visas in Kiev

Residents of Russia will be able to receive US visas at the US Embassy in Kiev. This is stated in a message posted on the website of the diplomatic mission.

“Persons who normally reside in Russia but who are unable to apply for a US visa in a timely manner may apply in Kyiv. Applicants are not required to be residents of Ukraine to obtain a visa from the U.S. Embassy in Kiev, but must be physically present in Ukraine at the time of applying for the visa and receiving the visa, as we cannot accept applications from citizens by mail while they are outside of Ukraine." - the message says.

The ministry stressed that in order to obtain a visa, all applicants “must indicate the local address in Ukraine - the address of the hotel, relatives, and the office - during the recording for the interview”.

You must also pay the visa fee in Raiffeisen Bank in Ukraine before the appointment of a visa interview.

"If the visa is approved, the issuance of a passport is possible only within Ukraine," the report stresses.

Recall, the US Embassy in Russia 21 August announced the suspension of the issuance of visas to Russians until 1 September in the capital and for an indefinite period in the regions. The embassy noted that such a decision was caused by the measures “to limit the number of employees of the US diplomatic mission”.
In late August, a spokesman for the US diplomatic mission in Russia, Maria Olson, said that the Russians would be able to get American visas in "any country in the world."
