Russia gradually absorbs Georgia

The Russian Federation plans to gradually annex the Georgian regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia

This was announced today in Brussels by the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili.

“The current crisis in Ukraine is of great concern to us and is worsening the security situation on the European continent. I would say that Russia’s decision to sign agreements with the separatist regimes in South Ossetia and Abkhazia confirms its desire to annex these parts of Georgia step by step,” Garibashvili said.

Recall that Russia signed with the separatist regime of Abkhazia an "agreement on alliance and strategic partnership", February 4 2015 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on its ratification. And on February 18, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the so-called Foreign Minister of South Ossetia signed an agreement on the “state border.”
