Russian military will issue food by fingerprints
The canteen military units of the Southern Military District of Russia will soon switch to an electronic control system, access control and food order, which will read the biometric data of military personnel, the district press service said on Tuesday.
Currently, some military units already have a power control system based on electronic cards issued to servicemen.
“The newest system includes two information terminals with biometric sensors that read information from the fingerprints of military personnel, a data processing server, as well as two printers for printing information to the service provider and food service employees of the military unit about the number of people eating for each meal,” - the message says.
The press service notes that information on the actual number of people feeding will be monthly copied to a removable storage medium for subsequent registration in a military unit. This system will significantly optimize the consumption of products for cooking and effectively use budget funds, the report says
The press service of the district also added that in the near future specialists of the manufacturer of this electronic system will launch it in the canteen of one of the military units in the Rostov region.
