Forward of the Russian national team and the NHL club “Washington” Evgeny Kuznetsov spent his due day with the Stanley Cup. During the ceremonial program in Chelyabinsk, the forward filled the main trophy of the National Hockey League with Russian dumplings, writes NewsRu.
“There is nothing better to end the day... Russian style. Stanley Cup dumplings,” wrote Stanley Cup “keeper” Phil Pritchard on Twitter.
The Russian striker made a significant contribution to the club's victory in the Stanley Cup. Eugene in the 79 matches of the regular championship scored 83 points (27 pucks + 56 programs), finishing second in the list of scorers and snipers of the club after compatriot Alexander Ovechkin.
In the playoffs, a native of Chelyabinsk became the best in scoring (32), including in scoring gear (20).
After the end of the NHL season, each member of the winning team can take the Cup to their homeland for a few days. The first of the Russians playing for Washington to have this right took advantage Ovechkin.
The Stanley Cup first came to Chelyabinsk in July 2012 - then it was brought by a defender who played in Los Angeles Vyacheslav Voinov.
