Russian liner is not being released from Egypt due to malfunction
On Monday, November 2, ground services at the airport in Hurghada (Egypt) surrounded a Ural Airlines plane to prevent it from taking off.
All passengers were taken out of the cabin, the flight was postponed due to a malfunction of the aircraft.
According to the daughter of one of the passengers, Airbus, which was supposed to carry out the U6-3028 flight, was sent to the repair box. Earlier, the captain informed passengers that takeoff would occur within 20 minutes.
“The crew was ready to fly, but the Egyptians did not give permission. They are more afraid for us than ours. Our commander fed us stories for three hours that we would fly in 20 minutes. The Egyptians even had to encircle the plane with their cars so that our pilot wouldn’t take off,” the woman told her daughter.
It is noted that the plane was supposed to land in Perm on November 2 in 09: 30, but passengers remain in the arrival area of Hurghada airport still.
The fears of the staff of the Egyptian airport can be understood. After all, exactly the same plane with Russian tourists crashed in the sky over the Sinai peninsula 31 October.
Airbus A321 of Kogalymavia Airlines operated the Sharm el-Sheikh flight to St. Petersburg. The link disappeared at an altitude of 9,4 thousands of meters through 23 minutes after takeoff.
Onboard were 217 passengers and 7 crew members, they all died. The crash has become the most ambitious in the history of Russian aviation.
