Russian billionaires 'impoverished' by $32 billion due to Putin's aggression against Ukraine

The wealth of the 23 richest businessmen in Russia decreased by $32 billion due to the aggravation of the situation around Ukraine, reports Voice of America.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which analyzes information about the value of the assets of the 500 richest people on the planet, Gennady Timchenko, a member of the board of directors of Sibur and Novatek, suffered the greatest losses. His fortune in 2022, according to the agency, decreased by almost a third to $16 billion.

According to the list of Russian billionaires, which includes 23 people, their net worth is now $343 billion, up from $375 billion at the beginning of the year.
