Russian deputies canceled a visit to the United States because of the removed Russian flags

A group of Russian deputies canceled a visit to the United States, where she planned to take part in the third annual international forum in New York on October 26-30. The visit is canceled due shot from the former consulate of the Russian Federation in San Francisco Russian flags.

The decision to cancel the delegation’s visit was made because of the situation with the removal of Russian flags from Russian diplomatic buildings in the United States.

“I hope that the United States will reconsider this decision and the flag will return to its place, to its rightful place. As far as I know, there has been no review of the status of this property,” said State Duma Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy.

At the same time, the State Duma staff stated that the decision to cancel the trip of parliamentarians to the United States at the end of October was made at the level of the State Duma Council. “The decision was made due to the fact that Russian flags were removed at Russian diplomatic missions in the United States, and this decision will remain until appropriate clarifications and apologies come from the American side,” the office said.

We are talking about the planned visit of the Russian deputies from the group for relations with the US Congress, which should include the 4 deputy. They planned to take part in the third annual Youth Forum, which will be held in New York (USA) on October 26-30.

In the State Duma, the agency clarified that the invitation to come to the forum came from the president of the Russian Center in New York, vice-chairman of the Coordination Council of the organizations of Russian compatriots of the United States, Elena Branson.
