Putin lied a bit, speaking with US First Lady Melania Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he had lied a little while speaking to US First Lady Melania Trump about fishing. He shared this in the movie "World Order 2018", writes Lenta.ru report.

The conversation with the wife of the American president took place in the summer of 2017, during the G20 summit in Hamburg, where Putin met for the first time with the couple Trump. According to him, one of the topics of conversation was Russian nature. The president spoke about the tigers of the Far East, about the bears of Kamchatka and about fishing in Siberia. “Well, of course, as usual in such cases, he lied a little. When you talk about fishing, how can you not lie, ”the head of state admitted.

Answering a question from journalists about an attempt to recruit an interlocutor, Putin stressed that he no longer does this. “I haven't done this for a long time. Although I loved doing it, it was my job for many years, ”he said.

The film "The World Order 2018" consists of several interviews with the president. In 2015, journalists presented another project about Putin: a documentary “President” covered the period from 1999 to 2014.
