Acceptance of tax returns will begin on 23 January 2017 of the year

The tax season of the year 2017 will begin in the US 23 January 2017. From this day on, American taxpayers will be able to file income declarations received in 2016. This is reported on the site IRS.

The tax administration also emphasizes that this year the deadline for filing the declaration will be 18 April 2017.

At the same time, the IRS warned that taxpayers who claim benefits would have to wait longer than usual for a tax refund.

“We caution taxpayers to prepare all forms in advance and have them on hand,” says John Koskinen, head of the Internal Revenue Service. “If you have loans or other financial obligations, get the necessary documents in advance.”

In 2017, 153 million Americans will file returns. The deadline for submission is April 18. At the same time, the tax department reminded that all taxpayers are required to keep their declarations for at least 3 years after filing.
