Police uncovered identity theft scheme for $ 7 in a restaurant

Police in Louisiana uncovered a complex identity theft scheme, thanks to two men who did not pay an 7 bill in an institution Waffle house.

Employees Waffle house called the police, stating that two men refused to pay their bill at this restaurant and fled the van U-Haul, writes SF Gate.

Investigators were still collecting information at a restaurant when patrol officers noticed a van. U-Haulparked near a nearby hotel.

The driver was arrested on the spot. The passenger of the van tried to escape to the nearby forest, a police officer began to pursue him and eventually arrested him.

During a search of the van, fake ID cards and credit cards, a device for reading and stealing credit card data, and a receipt from Waffle house on 7,41 dollar.

According to police, Indiana 20-year-old Steyshaun Stevens and 18-year-old Richard Brown flew to New Orleans from different states, rented a van there and installed credit card readers at several gas stations in the city to steal customer personal data.
