Weather in New York: extreme heat and storm

The temperature reached or exceeded 33 degrees Celsius in three states (New York and the two nearest states) on Thursday morning when people were driving to work. For more than a dozen districts, warnings about extreme temperature levels were announced, officials warned residents to take precautions.
LaGuardia and Newark airports recorded 33 degrees, while Teterboro recorded 34 degrees in the morning, although it felt much hotter. Meteorologists say temperatures will rise to 36 degrees by mid-afternoon across much of the tri-state area.
To help residents of New York move the heat, cooling centers are opening in all five districts in the city. (To find the nearest cooling center, call 311 or check the information on the website.) www.nyc.gov/beattheheat).
Thursday night storms are expected, but they will cover a small part of the territory, reports Storm Team 4. Storms can bring strong winds, rain, hail and thunder clouds.
On Friday, the heat will drop and the temperature will drop to 25-26 degrees, but it will be still stuffy, the last waves of the storm will roll. It will be cloudy, sometimes thunderstorms are possible. However, it is expected that the weather will improve by the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, the temperature will stay in the 27-28 degrees, accompanied by low humidity and mostly sunny skies.
