Due to extreme heat in the US, wildfires are raging

Due to extreme heat, wildfires have been raging in the western half of the United States for several days, in particular in the states of California, New Mexico, Nevada and Oregon. The two largest fires were recorded in southern Arizona and in Utah.

27 major fires have destroyed more than 7 hectares, according to the National Interagency Fire Center. Meteorologist Ryan Adamson warned that hot and dry weather will continue into the weekend and will only exacerbate the danger of wildfires. This year, fires have destroyed more than 000 miles of forests, almost the size of Connecticut. The number of fires is 6000% more than in 30.

The largest fire in the country was recorded in southwestern Utah, 400 kilometers south of Salt Lake City. At the beginning of this year, the fire consumed more than 20 hectares of territory.

Some areas of Utah are more fortunate than others. The authorities have promised that 17 July will be canceled evacuation order, and residents of the city of Brian Head will be able to return and celebrate Independence Day. Most cities in Utah remain without electricity and the Internet. It is expected that renovation work will be completed on Friday.
