Monument to Lenin collapsed during a selfie
A resident of Prokopyevsk in the Kemerovo region broke a monument to Lenin while trying to make a selfie with him. According to a FlashSiberia law enforcement source, the man was intoxicated.
“The man hung on the hand of the “leader,” but the monument could not withstand the weight and fell apart,” said a representative of the law enforcement agency. According to him, the 30-year-old vandal tried to restore the monument on his own, but failed.
The police managed to identify the man through the prints left on the monument and a forgotten beer bottle. The suspect was previously brought to justice, his data were stored in the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He is currently detained and is being interviewed.
3 May A drunken resident of the Kemerovo Region took the head of a monument to Lenin with a sledgehammer during a trip to the village of Moryakovsky Backwater near Tomsk. A criminal case was initiated against the man. Restoration of the monument will begin after the sentencing.
In 2012, the drunk driver of the KamAZ demolished the monument to Lenin with a steel cable that was attached to the truck. The incident occurred in the city of Mozdok in North Ossetia.
