A second before his death: a policeman saved a man from under the wheels of a train in New Jersey. VIDEO

A patrol recruit who worked for exactly seven months in the police saved a man who was a few seconds away from a collision with an oncoming suburban train in New Jersey.

The dramatic incident fell on the body camera patrol Kale Savoy. The frame shows how he runs along the tracks and shouts at the man, waving his arms towards the train to stop.

«Эй, приятель! Двигайся! — закричала Савойя. — Останови поезд!».

An unknown person derailed for a fraction of a second before the train hit.

22-летний Савойя рассказала, что он «очень перенервничал».

Хайди Берк, которая была на платформе в ожидании поезда, рассказала новостной станции, что Савойя был «настоящим героем».

«Он просто прыгнул перед поездом, — сказала Берк. — Я увидел красную рубашку, и тело, которое отлетело в сторону, а полицейский — в другую сторону, а поезд прошел между ними».

The man, who seemed upset, was taken to the nearest hospital to assess his condition.

«Как сотрудники полиции, наша задача — принимать быстрые решения в трудных ситуациях и действовать при них, — говорит в заявлении Савойи. — В конце концов, все, что имеет значение, — это безопасно добраться домой».

The men in the Savoyi family worked in the police. So his father, Kevin Savoy, was a sergeant and served 28 years before he died in 2016. His grandfather served in the police for 25 years.

Mother, Donna Savoie, said that her late husband and father-in-law would be proud of Kayla.

At the time of writing, it is not known why the man was on the road.
