In the Kiev shopping and entertainment center Lavina Mall today, August 18, the opening of the first store in Ukraine of the Swedish clothing brand H&M took place. Its area is 2,9 thousand square meters. m. Fans of the brand spent the night right on the floor of the shopping and entertainment center, and social networks ridicule the hype.

The store will feature women's, men's, teenage and children's clothing and accessories. On the price tags you can compare the prices of goods in Europe and Ukraine. In addition to the clothing department, the H&M Home department will work, says Today.

But it won’t be easy to serve everyone – the queue at the store stretches for hundreds of meters. People stood there for several hours. At the same time, some fans of the brand spent the night before the opening on the floor of the shopping center - they promised to give gift certificates to the first thousand customers.

A huge number of visitors not only formed a giant line in the shop itself, but also provoked traffic jams in the area of ​​entrances to Lavina Mall, which is located on the outskirts of Kiev. The situation is aggravated by the fact that Paladin Avenue is being repaired at the entrances to the mall. In addition, in the mall a lot of buses with organized groups rode at the opening of the store.

By the way, the store will install a box for unnecessary things. It will be possible to leave any things in it, regardless of the state and brand. Some items will be sold as second-hand, others will be used as recyclable materials for new products or processed into textile fibers.

Recall that H&M has already announced the opening of the second store in Kiev in October 2018. The company is also developing its own online store, but the timing of its launch is still unknown.

In July 2017, H&M officially announced plans to enter the Ukrainian market. Prior to that, it was reported that H&M was interested in the Ukrainian market, but the company did not confirm this information. As experts noted, in the case of H&M in Ukraine, its competitors of a similar price segment are widely represented, which indicates the presence of demand and the realism of successful work in the country.

This was the second attempt by the brand to start working in Ukraine - the first one took place in 2014, when H&M entered into an agreement with the shopping center Respublika. Then the deal was frozen at the stage of document approval.
