Nestle recalls cookie dough due to pieces of rubber found in it
Nestlé USA recalls chilled cookie dough after receiving reports of detected pieces of rubber in some of the company's products, writes ABC News.
“The recall is limited only to chilled products ready for baking, indicated below, with lot codes that begin with 9189, as well as lot codes that start with 9295,” it says in a Nestlé press release.
26 pastry products for biscuits, ready for baking, are available in the form of tiles, pails and tubes. They are shipped throughout the United States and to Puerto Rico.
To identify the package code on the package, Nestlé issued reference images and highlighted the four-digit package code, where it appears after the use or freeze-by date and before the 5753 number.

Nestlé USA said it took action "as a precaution after receiving reports of food grade rubber pieces in some of these products."
The company said that the source of the appearance of rubber in the products was found, and the problem has already been eliminated.
“No diseases or injuries requiring treatment have been reported,” the company said.
