600 people evacuated in southern California
The authorities of San Bernardino County (Southern California) issued a decree on the forced evacuation of more than 600 residents of Lake Big Bia, in connection with the largest forest fire this year. According to the KTLA channel, people who spend their summer holidays in the region are forced to leave the specified area.
Currently, more than 50 firefighters are fighting the spread of fire in the San Bernardino National Reserve. In connection with the evacuation of residents, the authorities were forced to block off the section of the highway №38, which takes place in close proximity to the fire area.
“The fire area has already reached 4 thousand hectares,” the TV channel noted. “So far, emergency services have not been able to stop the fire from spreading.”
San Bernardino National Reserve is located in southeastern California and is a popular holiday destination for Americans and foreign tourists.
