American TV host CBS News and comedian Stephen Colbert recently visited Russia as part of the “Week of Russia”. And in the last episodes of his show he described in detail how Russian oligarchs live. He writes about it Tjournal.

Colbert left his most vivid impression after visiting the mansion of billionaire, entrepreneur and owner of the Brooklyn Nets basketball club Mikhail Prokhorov. Mikhail became the first Russian businessman to participate in the program. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

In 2010, Prokhorov paid $223 million for 80% of the New Jersey Nets and 45% of its arena. In 2012, the team moved to New York to the new Barclays Center stadium and was renamed, and in 2015 Prokhorov became the sole owner of the club and arena.

In April, a Russian businessman announced 2017 of his intention to sell the Brooklyn Nets 49% stake. This was reported TASS.

For socializing and excursions, Prokhorov invited Colbert to his mansion in Skolkovo, where Mikhail lives alone, since he has neither a wife nor children. Despite the fact that Prokhorov does not like the word "oligarch", he allowed Steven to call himself that.

Colbert and Prokhorov quickly became friends, found many common topics for conversation and realized that in the heart of everyone, as Stephen himself said, there still lives a little boy who loves guns and cars.

What was the excitement of Colbert, when during a walk around the house they stumbled upon AK-47 standing by the window sill. Besides him, the TV host found a collection of Japanese shurikens and a photo of a naked girl.

Colbert tried to find out about other preferences of Prokhorov, including the whimsical ones. For example, does Michael love exotic animals and grows his long nails.

When asked how he spends his free time, Prokhorov replied that he was watching replays of the American TV series The Good Wife.

They talked about love. Colbert asked what qualities Prokhorov’s future wife should have. The oligarch replied:
"Love. All you need is love, Steve. ” To which Colbert added:
"I know. And 9 billion dollars. "

Prokhorov liked Colbert so much that he tried to find his wife in tinder.

Michael also invited Stephen to the kitchen, where he made him an "oligarch snack" with sausage.

After that, they found themselves in a sauna, where Colbert tried on a bathing cap and said that it was the largest pile he had ever seen.

The plot ends with the fact that Prokhorov and Colbert on the Maybach of the oligarch went to the White Wolf club of Teskao's military art. There, they trained in throwing shurikens and hatchets.

“How often do you do this?” Colbert asked Mikhail.
“Every day,” Prokhorov answered.
