Mother wants to change sex of 7-year-old son: father sued, but lost

A jury in Texas ruled on a father who wanted to take the sole custody of his 7-year-old sons in an attempt to stop a child’s mother from changing the sex of one of the boys. Writes about this New York Post.

Jeffrey Yanger's petition for sole custody of his sons Jude and James was rejected. Father sued when he found out that the boys' mother insisted that James begin hormone therapy in preparation for gender reassignment.

Mom, pediatrician Ann Georgulas, claims that James Transgender loves to wear dresses and prefers to be called the Moon.

But at stake is not only James’s personality here and now, but his future health.

According to healthcare providers, hormone therapy can lead to infertility as well as a potential health risk from hair loss to blood clots.

Georgulas received a letter of recommendation for James and conducted a “complete psychological assessment for gender dysphoria and hormone blocker use”. The boys father strongly opposes this.

It all started when Georgulas filed a lawsuit to limit her ex-husband’s contacts with children. She demanded that he call James Moon, and kept the boy away from those who refused to do the same.

Younger responded by submitting a petition to court for the sole custody of the boys. Experts have confirmed that the identity of James is still very unstable.

“There is some variation in his mind,” said Dr. Benjamin Albritton. - None of the children looks depressed, anxious or aggressive. James showed no signs of other significant psychological difficulties. ”

Witnesses from the father's side claim that the boy always responds to the name of James and chooses clothes for boys when he is with his father, despite the fact that he can freely choose clothes for girls.

Witnesses also confirmed that James’s desires to be a girl are not his own, they are the result of his mother’s influence.

The jury ultimately sided with Georgulas, paving the way for her to change the sex of the boy.
