Kaspersky Lab closes office in Washington
Kaspersky Lab, a Russian antivirus vendor, is closing its office in Washington, but will continue to work with non-government clients in the United States. This was stated by Vice-President Anton Shingarev, writes "Voice of America".
The company plans to open new offices in Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto next year.
Recall, September 13 US Government forbidden to use Kaspersky's software in state institutions because of the company's possible links with Russian intelligence and the likelihood that its products can be used to compromise federal information systems. This move raised concerns about the company's products in other markets, including the UK.
